Annual Maintenance Checklist

A Risk Assessment needs to be carried out on an annual basis; this will determine how often maintenance checks should be carried out on the door set in question. A Risk Assessment analyses the traffic that the door set is open to. Any remedial works from this assessment should be carried out.

A maintenance schedule must be followed.

The need for competent maintenance, Article 17 of the RRFSO (Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order) states, fire safety provisions must be maintained in a suitable and working order.

Doors which are maintained as per the manufacturer’s instructions are proven to be replaced far less frequent than those which do not get maintained.
